As of September 2015, Google is dropping support for JAVA and NPAPI Plugins. This means that Blackboard will no longer fully support the Chrome browser. Therefore, SWIC recommends the latest versions of the following browsers instead:

If you are required to use the lockdown browser and have been using the Internet Explorer browser to access Blackboard, you will need to complete the following steps before you take a test:
Open Internet Explorer
Select Tools from the menu and then select Compatibility View Settings.
If swic.edu is listed as a Web site, click on it and then click Remove.
Uncheck both boxes at the bottom--Display intranet sites in Compatibility View and Use Microsoft compatibility lists. Then click Close. You can then open the Lockdown Browser and take your test.
STUDENTS--If you currently have an old copy of the LockDown Browser on your computer, you should click the link below
to install the lastest version before attempting to take a test using the LockDown Browser.
FACULTY using Respondus to upload tests to Blackboard will need to install the latest version (4.05.09). Please contact the Help Desk to have it installed on your computer or computers here. Contact Faculty Technology to obtain the correct version for home use.

When needed, maintenance for the Blackboard Server will always be scheduled between 11 p.m. Friday evenings through 6 a.m. Saturday mornings except for unexpected emergency repairs.
Please go to eSTORM and change your password if you are unable to access your Blackboard account. eSTORM passwords expire after 90 days. If you do not login to eSTORM on a regular basis, you may miss the notification requiring you to change your password.
